Six things that separate a supplier who can substantiate their product from one who cannot.
Batch-specific documentation, on request
The test is not whether a supplier has certificates on their website. It is whether they can produce the certificate for the batch number on the vial you received. A generic certificate describes a production run you did not receive. This single question separates most suppliers quickly.
A verification route that is not the seller
Manufacturer-operated authenticity checkers verify a batch against the manufacturer's own records rather than the reseller's claims. That independence is the entire point. Quanta and SerenQ both run one, and a product that resolves through the manufacturer's tool has a documented chain behind it in a way that a reseller's assurance does not.
Cold chain that is described, not implied
For refrigerated products, ask what the dispatch practice actually is: whether cold packs are used, whether orders are held back before weekends, what happens if a package is delayed. A supplier who has thought about it will answer specifically. A supplier who has not will answer in generalities.
Stock position stated honestly
A supplier who marks items out of stock is telling you something true. A supplier where everything is always available is either very large or is drop-shipping from a source they do not control, which lengthens the chain and weakens every other assurance.
Traceable payment offered alongside anything else
Alternative payment methods are normal in this sector and are not themselves a warning sign. A supplier who offers only irreversible methods, with no alternative at all, has removed your recourse by design. That is a structural observation rather than a judgement about any particular method.
Time in operation, verifiable independently
Domain registration dates are public and free to check. A site selling an established brand while itself being weeks old warrants a pause. This sector sees a steady stream of brand-alike domains, and registration date is the quickest independent check available.
